We're hosting a one-day symposium in Salem, OR about all things CM - a Charlotte Mason Primer. With content rich enough to satisfy the most experienced homeschooler, yet still accessible to those new to Charlotte Mason, this symposium will be beneficial to the attendees in multiple ways. It will introduce the CM philosophy and method to those who are curious or brand new; it will draw out hidden homeschool families and create opportunity for connection; and it will deepen the joy and understanding of living out the discipline, atmosphere, and life of a Charlotte Mason education.

Our Speakers
Leyla Folsom
Leyla is a second generation homeschooler who found Charlotte Mason's methods to be the perfect combination of a full education and her favorite things - beautiful books and time outside. An introvert with a craving for deep connection, Leyla leads multiple homeschool community-building endeavors in Oregon's mid-Willamette Valley. Leyla has three school age kids, one each in Forms 1, 2 and 3, and a preschooler who can't wait till she can do "real" schoolwork with her brother and sisters. Leyla's family loves to travel, and every place they go convinces them that the PNW is the only place they want to call home.
Danielle Cyrus
Danielle Cyrus was a pre-law student when God disrupted her plans and led her to education and she's been neck deep in books ever since. She currently has 4 children and has been married to Grant for 20 years. After becoming a certified teacher, she taught in a variety of educational settings, but never saw one that seemed right for her own children.
She began homeschooling as her oldest reached school age. Along the way, she studied and implemented (and then studied some more) classical and Charlotte Mason methods. Danielle has led various home-education support groups and retreats as well. She is passionate about fostering professional development and supportive community for home-educating parents.
Sarah Dale
Sarah Dale is a second-generation homeschooling mom. With her loving husband’s support, she homeschooled both her daughter and son for their entire education through high school. She discovered Charlotte Mason when her kids were in first and third grade. Mason’s philosophy of education deeply resonated with everything she knew to be true about the learning process. She is excited to share what she and her children have learned along the way and to encourage everyone on their homeschool journey.
