Meet The Team
Sarah Dale | Portland, OR
Sarah Dale is a second-generation homeschooling mom. With her loving husband’s support, she has homeschooled both her high school-age daughter and son for their entire education thus far. She discovered Charlotte Mason when her kids were in first and third grade. Mason’s philosophy of education deeply resonated with everything she knew to be true about the learning process. She is excited to share what she and her children have learned along the way and to encourage everyone on their homeschool journey.
Sarah Dempsen | Yakima, WA
Sarah Dempsen lives with her husband and three daughters outside Yakima, Washington, where they delight in a view of Mt. Adams and rolling pasture land on every side. Discovering Charlotte Mason’s philosophy shaped the parenting and education of her children as well as her own self-education, from the very beginning of Sarah’s motherhood. In the evening hours, she can be found cross-stitching, knitting, or feasting on the tall stack of books on her nightstand.

Leyla Folsom | Keizer, OR
Leyla is a second generation homeschooler who found Charlotte Mason's methods to be the perfect combination of a full education and her favorite things - beautiful books and time outside. An introvert with a craving for deep connection, Leyla leads multiple homeschool community-building endeavors in Oregon's mid-Willamette Valley. Leyla has three school age kids, one each in Forms 1, 2 and 3, and a preschooler who can't wait till she can do "real" schoolwork with her brother and sisters. Leyla's family loves to travel, and every place they go convinces them that the PNW is the only place they want to call home.
Kerry Kaminski | Snohomish, WA
Kerry embraces life with compassion and empathy for the humanity of others - especially her children. Stumbling upon Charlotte Mason through the influence of a friend in a time before her eldest daughter could even walk, she dove in early with an eagerness to have a solid foundation of “why” before the duty of education was made formal. Almost a decade of study later, she is confidently and imperfectly in the midst of educating her kids at home. Kerry spends most of her time with her husband Wesley and two daughters Euphemia (9) and Gweneviere (7) at their forest farmhouse outside of Snohomish where she dabbles in homesteading, preservation, and herbology. Kerry and her family love to travel and spend a prolonged period of time in sunnier skies during the gray PNW winter. They take their lessons with them when they travel, embracing a relaxed CM approach to world-schooling when away from home.
Sarah May Little | Wenatchee, WA
Sarah May lives with her family in the beautiful city of Wenatchee, Washington, located on a branch of the Columbia River in central WA. Surrounded by mountains, forests, and rivers, Sarah May finds great joy in outdoor adventure. She has immersed her three children, Charlie (18, graduated and off to UW), Bekah (16), and Joe (13) in a Charlotte Mason education and lifestyle since 2015. Sarah May loves to spread the feast of ideas for her children while learning alongside them. There are ups and downs on this journey, but she can confidently say that every season of life has joy and grace for God's beloved children.
Bethany Lowndes | Redmond, WA
Bethany thrives on the green of the Northwest. Hiking the foothills and reading rich books underpinned her own homeschooling experience and inspired her to immerse herself into Charlotte Mason’s philosophy. With her husband, Patrick, and five lovely children, Annaleah (11), Elisha (9), Meredith (7), Cyrus (5), and Hadassah (3), they journey through each up-and-down day of homeschooling, seeing the fruits of Christ and the CM philosophy gradually appearing in their home. Bethany’s spare time goes into upkeeping their property and supporting her husband’s entrepreneurial spirit as they labor to bring Christ to the world through overseas businesses.
